Product Design - Whitcoulls

Working at Pascoes Group offered me the opportunity to use a wide range of different design skills. Of these, product design was some of the most fun. Briefed into creating a contemporary, sleek and stylish feminine stationery range, I created the Noted Gold stationery range for Whitcoulls.

Combining pastel pink, cream, matte black and gold foil in contrasting dots and stripes, with accompanying pieces with gold lettering, this range was a best seller for Whitcoulls and lead to the expansion of in-house designed products.

Setting the mood and tone for the range was paramount to ensure that the sales of the retail range would be profitable for the company. This required research into current fashion stationery trends and feminine lifestyle products.

Other product ranges created for Whitcoulls included a selection of four different Christmas themed wrapping designs, and NZ Christmas themed card ranges, that were used across multiple years of sales - fun fact: one of the designs also appeared in the 2015 film, Krampus.
